SFPC 2016 is in the books and we’re already looking forward to SFPC 2017. But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, we wanted to take a moment to highlight some of the great moments that came out of this year’s conference.
We had 300 registered delegates with more than 30 sessions offered. Many attendees reported being very pleased with the choice in breakout sessions. Thomas Spann, Director, Head of Sales (The Americas): Travel and Entertainment for NCR said: “I left the conference able and eager to implement some of the learnings and feedback that was shared with my direct team, as well as across my org.”
Diego Soler, Global Sales Training Instructor for Schlumberger thought the workshops with case studies were excellent, saying, “It is important not only to look at what we do internally, and internally I mean our own industry, but to see what it is ‘out there’ and understand what other industries are doing to solve similar challenges”.
Keynote speaker Lindsay McGregor, author of “Primed to Perform: How to Build the Highest Performing Cultures Through the Science of Total Motivation” was a huge hit with her tips on the best way to motivate sales reps. As Loren Waldo, Senior Manager, Product Support Sales Operations and Analysis for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation put it: “I shamelessly plagiarized one of <Lindsay’s> keynote charts; I used it to articulate how failing to reach consensus on a desired outcome for a training event results in magnets pointing different directions and our sales team confused as to which direction to follow.”
Jacquie Macuga, Director of Sales Operations for OnShift liked the panel “No Buyer Left Behind: Designing Territories To Engage Every Opportunity ,“ saying, “Territories are so important to our sales org… had great takeaways on how to better optimize the team with smarter territories!” While Bill Sellner, Director, Sales Operations for Philips Respironics appreciated the Keynote by Red Hat and Allego “Creating a Consistent Value Message Across Red Hat’s Global Sales Team,” saying, “Great session on video based learning by David and Lori! Video is a powerful medium that we don’t leverage enough in sales enablement.”
