Survey of Incentive Compensation Issues, Priorities, and Challenges

About This Research

The Sales Management Association's Incentive Compensation Advisory Board is conducting this survey.  Its purpose is to identify key activities, priorities, and challenges among professionals responsible for managing incentive compensation programs.  Participate by completing the online survey questionnaire.

Incentive For Qualified Participants

Qualifying respondents to this survey are eligible for a drawing held by the Sales Management Association for an Apple iPad, access to all published survey results, and a discounted first-year membership offer of US$175.00 (only new Sales Management Association members are eligible for this offer).

To qualify, respondents must:

  • Work in a firm with at least 20 incentive compensation payees, AND
  • Work as a compensation professional as their primary job focus; OR
  • Work as the senior-most sales executive, HR executive, or incentive compensation manager in their firm.

Each of our endorsed research initiatives provides participants with a Report of Findings once data collection and analysis are completed. The Sales Management Association's Incentive Compensation Advisory Board

The SMA's Incentive Compensation Advisory Board is made up of practicing professionals, thought-leaders, and academics who provide advice and direction on incentive compensation-related content development initiatives undertaken by the Sales Management Association.  In addition to directing the association's content development efforts in this important topic area, the Incentive Compensation Advisory Board also works to endorse effective practices and advance the incentive compensation management profession.
