Despite predictions otherwise, AI hasn’t yet revolutionized the modern sales force, most corners of which remain decidedly… recognizable. Some would argue that there is one notable exception: the learning and development function. In some organizations, AI enabled tools are assessing, training, and developing salespeople with much greater effectiveness than pre-AI approaches, at a radically restructured cost basis.
This webcast presents three leaders on the frontier of AI-enabled learning, with three distinct perspectives on AI’s impact on sales learning and development. The panel features:
- A review of HP’s comprehensive partner sales training and enablement strategy. HP’s head of global partner training shares his experience designing, deploying, and sustaining AI-enabled training across its partner ecosystem.
- Florida State University Sales Institute’s Professor Leff Bonney shares his recent research that suggests incautious use of AI in preparing sellers may do more harm than good.
- Columbia Business School’s Professor Dan Wang, shares his voice-powered AI discussion tool, “CAiSEY,” which prepares students for in-class discussion through deep engagement with content. As an analog to sales training’s efforts to prepare learners who must stand-and-deliver in buyer-seller interactions, CAiSEY suggests how learning tools used in the academy may impact commercial learning in the sales organization.
