Virtual-only and hybrid options are available. Participants select learning paths that fit their own career needs, learning objectives, and experience level.
Program Format
Participants complete approximately 20 hours of instructional and participatory learning. We work with each enrollee to design a customized course of study to best meet your learning objectives and professional context requirements.
A typical course of study includes:
- Eight or more on-demand online learning modules (six to eight hours total).
- Two on-demand courses with asynchronous discussion and assignments (six to eight hours total).
- Two live cohort-based instructor-led workshops (six to eight hours total).
- Maintain certified status each year through participation in continuing education-eligible peer-based working sessions, live or on demand webcasts, additional on-demand course modules, peer-based working sessions, and participation in conferences and online webcasts.
At enrollment, certification candidates receive a two-year full membership in the Sales Management Association, allowing for access to all archived content and coursework at salesmanagement.org.
Senior leaders may opt out of come requirements if experience-qualified. Sales Management Association works with each enrollee to determine an optimal course of study and curriculum.

A Verifiable and Immutable Blockchain Credential
Using blockchain technology, credentials are completely immutable and can be easily shared on LinkedIn and other digital platforms. Should learners elect to share their credentials publicly, they can direct others to a third party site that securely displays the credential’s information as verified by the Sales Management Association.
