Leadership Development Within the Learning Sales Organization

18 October 2011

FILED UNDER:

Sales management is often poorly supported with training, despite its pivotal impact on overall sales performance. But the tide of sales management education is turning. As more firms acknowledge front-line sales managers' vital role, investment in sales management development is increasing.

In this workshop we hear from FSU Sales Institute's Leff Bonney, a former sales and sales operations leader turned academic; and from two practitioners who are building strategic centers of excellence for sales and sales management education within their firms. Each speaker will share their unique perspective on important trends in sales leadership education, and practices from their own experience that have positively impacted sales manager development.

Speakers:

  • Moderator: Leff Bonney, Assistant Professor of Marketing, Florida State University
  • Mike Galvin, Practice Manager, Sales Enablement Community, The American Society for Training and Development (ASTD)
  • Paul Hevesy, Director of Retrofit Sales, Stanley Security Solutions, Inc.
  • Joseph Kastelic, Senior Vice-President, BlueLinx Corporation
